We Offer Positive Choices for Kids at Risk!

Sports Equipment Manufacturers Support Our Mission: These long-time friends provide huge leverage for Buddy Fund dollars, offering new, safe equipment at the lowest possible price or as a donation.

We Reach the Right Kids: The Buddy Fund selects and works through other youth-oriented organizations that consistently excel in operating well organized, character-building sports programs for underprivileged kids. These organizations are located in neighborhoods challenged financially and overly-exposed to gangs and criminal elements.

Efficiency is Paramount: Our members, our sponsors and non-member supporters know that on average, ninety four percent of all funding goes to helping under-privileged youth, and that these dollars carry the best possible buying power.

Communications: Quarterly Newsletters go to members and supporters, communicating Buddy Fund accomplishments, and helping maintain a sense of commitment to caring for challenged kids.

Leadership: A Chairperson and a Management Committee make up the leadership structure of The Buddy Fund. The management committee meets at least once a quarter. Operations are reviewed, committee reports presented, and decisions made.

Sports Equipment know-how: For most all sports, appropriate equipment depends on the age of the kids using them. We have the know-how to consult with our partner charities about equipment selection. Proper equipment is essential for safety. 

Proven Mission: For youngsters, organized sports participation remains a healthy, character-building alternative to the destructive forces faced by kids with limited parenting, and/or growing up in difficult neighborhoods.

The Buddy Fund's mission encourages and enables this participation, and demand for our assistance increases each year.
